Born & raised in Rock Falls-hunted your state park by the prison a few times-my brother took a nice Buck there years back just b/4 they put the antler restrictions in. I bowhunted Lowden Miller lots & Castle Rock also plus lots of private between Dixon & Oregon. I now live on the edge of Clinton, Iowa real close to the Miss. river. I owned Arrows archery in R.F. & also Frontier Sports center in Rockford in the 70s.
Anyway-I passed on several Bucks last year but have seen a couple good ones already this year in velvet. I passed on 1- 10 point about 125 last year at 10 yards & had 1 shot at about a 160 at 32 yards-shot him for 30 & watched the arrow go right under his chest. took my buddy from Maryland Bowhunting last year in Ill. & he arrowed about a 115, 8 point his 3rd day. Was a big one compared to what he has at home-dressed out over 200#s. Anyway-good luck-your in the idle of good Deer hunting & it's NOT PIKE COUNTY-imagine that.

Better spread us Kentucky boys out. It wouldn't be fair to have more than two of us on a team. That way everyone else stands a chance.

Double creek, if you and another hunter i think someone else wanted to know if it were too late that woudl give us 192 which is an even 24 teams with 8 hunters.. instead of 19 teams of 10 hunters... i think they have NOT yet chose teams... then again we have not heard anything...
