Question Looking for Recommendations

I'm looking to make the switch to a xbow and looking to stay under $750, preferably under $600.

I have a budget and I'd like to get a few other things (case, some new bolts, etc).

What are your recommendations?

Like you after 38 yrs of hunting I got my first crossbow, didn't want to spend a lot of $$$$, friend of mine was in the same boat he purchased a Centerpoint 380 Tormentor. I shot his in early January and I ended up purchasing one. I was very surprised on the quality, even the fit and finish was great, trigger is just fine, set up was easy as well. The scope that came with it was clear & crisp but not illuminated....Did some researching and decided on a SA SPORT 550, the supplied quiver wasn't good so I purchased a Kwikkee Kiver. The bolts aren't that great, good enough to play around with and I will use as a discharge bolt, hunting bolts will be ordered from South Shore Archery.

This is the one I bought in December. I also decided to get back into archery hunting but wanted to do something new. It came with a scope, 3 cross bolts, a quiver, a rope cocker and a crank cocker. It is supposed to send a bold 390 fps it did a little less than that on the chronograph but not much. I have not hunted with it yet but I am shooting it and it is fast and accurate. I have drawn the line at 35 yards for me to shoot and at that rage it puts the bolts right where they are supposed to be.
