broadhead question

Considered the slightly wider Griz version but decided not to fix something that isn't broken....for a change. Partially motivated by knowledge that bigger isn't always better where broadheads are concerned. I had planing problems with the original (large) Thunderheads.

Sounds like some good advice. I personally use mechanicals, trying out the G5 T3's this year. But have always heard positive things about the Slicks.

I use G5 montecs I think they shot about 3 inches different then the field points. The fact that the broadheads dont shoot the same as the field points has never bothered me. Just get a broadhead target and tune your scope in for the broadheads. Shoot at a couple different distances until you have a good feel for scope's cross bars and your done. Unlike bows, crossbows are set it and forget it so you dont need as much practice shooting. I only shoot field points when I unload my bow at the end of the hunt. Other than that I practice with what I hunt with.
