Alright, I'm quite inept at the projectile-firing structure, as a whole. However, I am quite eager in learning about the glory that is the crossbow. I have never owned one, I've operated one on two ocassions, and I has been exhilirating. I have general questions:
What type(s) of crossbows are best for beginners (who excell at most weaponry)
What to look out for (besides what I've learned from the stickies)
Appreciated.

Get one that has a draw length of at least 14 inches.
Stick on brand names like Excalibur who makes excellent crossbows.
All the new ones are pretty fast and accurate.
Look for one with faultless safety on it, plus the ability to put a red dot or a scope.
You should be able to test fire some at any refutable archery store which usually have an indoor range.
I find the heavier the crossbow the more accurate they are.
