Default insert glue?

i have a friend who has to cut his bolts down and since he doesn't have internet i would ask the question. what type of glue can he use to put the inserts back in?, also do they make 17" bolts? he bought 20" from wal mart it was the shortest they carry but they are 3inches to long, the broadhead he uses won't let him use 16" so he's going with the next length. he is gonna try super glue and fletch tite unless i can let him know of something else. thanks

it isnt uncommon to cut to fit.
and i quote " use 125 gr glue on points with holt melt glue. I like the hot melt because it lets me swap points or salvage points with less work.
Key step with glue on points: Boil the points well. Put the points in a small pot and boil them for a good 5 minutes or so then drain, cool and dry. Doing that I haven't had an issue with the glue on point falling off in the Arizona summers."
but i read somewhere superglue will work.

The best single glue I've found-after trying some half dozen bow brand glues-is Gorilla brand super glue (blue top). It is latex fortified so won't crack like many of the others. Personally I used hot melt glue on my nocks (aluminum moon) so I can readjust them after refleching if necessary but super glue can be used there too. Have him try the 20 inch before he cuts them. The longer arrow has a higher ballistic coefficient so won't drop as fast assuming near same weigh; assuming it's not dangerous by sticking out too far in front of bow.

I wasn't sure what to use so I called Gold Tip customer service. They recommended 5 minute epoxy for a permanent installation. They also said the 24 will work. So I got some Permatex 5-min from Walmart for $4 and so far so good. I'll be using mech. broadheads so permanent fixture is ok for what I need. I would go with somethiing that can be loosened later on if you need to tune fixed blade broadheads.

Epoxy is permanent. So is the Gorilla brand regular glue. It has somewhat of an edge IMO in that it's somewhat flexible.
