Yep, I am lucky enough to live in the center of some great hunting country. I use a compound, but I am trying to get my daughter interested in hunting. She loves shooting her .17 and has taken a turkey, but won't shoot a bigger gun (she hates loud noises and the kick) and doesn't have the time to master a regular bow (just started college out of state). That and Texas has just legalized crossbows for archery season. Just doing some preliminary "scouting" to see what and how on crossbows. So far looks like I am going to get the Excalibur Phoenix. Trying to get everyhthing lined out to have her up and running by next fall. That link of videos should help me get everything together and running smoothly.
Again, thanks for the info. Give me a shout if you make it through the area again.
