Default Looking for Magazine

Recently I read an outdoors magazine that rated a few different crossbows. I don't recall which magazine it was. Does this sound familiar to anybody? I think it was a general outdoors/hunting type of magazine.

I wouldn't know which magazine you are asking about, but members of the ACF get the Horizontal Bowhunters Mag. Are you looking for a crossbow or just info? Good luck.

I'm mostly wishful thinking, but I would like to get a crossbow for hunting in the future. I think this magazine article compared 4 different x-bows. I know Excaliber was one of them and they said it was fairly loud. Another x-bow was much quieter, but of course cost more.

"On a quiet night, a deaf man can hear the quietest crossbow made"
Danny Miller, USA warranty rep for Excal.

There's a site that posts reviews of various xbows called crossbow review, you might google it, I don't have a link.

You can quiet any xbow down some by shooting heavier arrows, but the deer will still hear it.
