Question Need Some Help!!!

Hey to all just became a member of the site and i was hoping to get some answers to my questions. i just couldnt find the answers i was looking for on the web. i live in michigan and as everyone knows they changed the crossbow law in michigan and i want to buy a crossbow, the problem is i have no clue what to look for in a crossbow. here are some of the following questions i would love to have answered.......

(my price range is no more than $500)

1. is a crossbow with recurve limbs better or wheels?
2. can i use ur standard broadheads?
3. what grain is the best?
4. what broadhead is good to shoot from a crossbow?
5. a scope or a red dot sight?

and ya i just want to make a smart choice before i buy, i dont want to end up with a broken crossbow by the middle of the season.

i hope i get the answers im looking for! and thank you for your future responses!

1...Depends on were your hunting, recurve is wider then compound.Ive found that a recurve is better in a stand or ground blind and the compound is nice for stalking..
2...Yes.
3...I use 100grn Broadheads..
4...What ever works for you, fixed or Mech....
5...I like the Luma Zone......

Default price point

With that 500 dollar price point, I would choose a Barnett Revolution Avi. It shoots 345 FPS and is very accurate. Barnetts customer service is great, just go to crossbownation dot com. Then go to Crossbow review dot com and read the unbiased reviews. In the past longer than 2 years ago barnett had issues which they have addressed. They only have a 1 year warranty which many dont like. I bought my Revolution in the spring and its great and have taklen a deer with it with a special tag at 43 yards. It shoots tight groups as well as most I read about. In 1.5 inch or a tad over out to 60 yards and better in close. You can get one from a store for 499.00 or online Ebay 450.00 or less. Go feel alot of crossbows and you make the call. If you want to spend a few hundred more the Parker Tornado is awesome. I personally wanted to see how I liked crossbows before spending what 800-2400 dollars. Thats a big investment before you know you will like it. saving up longer will not work when you want to get ready and be accurate for the season. Now you probavly will read posts by those who do not like the new Barnett because of what happened before they restructured and regained their focus, its your money and choice. My thoughts. The fool who can't decide what his forum name once again spouts a bunch of bullshiete. Why he doesn't learn that nobody wants to see his Barnett propaganda is beyond me I said time and again "we can't fix stupid"

Call Daivd at Wyvern 603-659-0575 and get the true facts and the best info you will find anywhere,

DO NOT PAY ANY ATTENTION to the Barnett lover. He has no idea what the real world is about. He has shot one deer with a crossbow in his life and feels he's an expert. Heck, he can't even chose one forum name, he has to have different names on each forum that he polutes with his garbage! How could he give any good advise?? He switches opinions every other post, depending on what side of the fence he thinks he needs to be.

Giz tells it like it is. Would be interesting to note if Barnett pays him. NAH, nothing he says is worth money.
e.g "1.5" groups at 60 yards." Right! Groups of ONE!.

I dont like destroying arrows. If you shoot at a 1 inch circle and are within that 1/2 inch when shoting multiple arrows thats just what it is. Shoot smart not expensive.
Thats funny as typical I am miss quoted, I always say I wont shoot at the same spot . I see posters here that are on other sites that tone it down away from here, I know they know other Barnett shooters have similar accuracy.
For some who supposedly just promotes Barnett I suggest other bows when a higher price point is mentioned, again misunerstood because of the biased against Barnett.
Anyone can take any statement and make it say what they want, if they have a preconceived idea. next will come some more off subject posts.I will let others have the reply posts, remember the rules.Have a great weekend. Buckeyefootball

Buckeyefootball: GO AWAY! Dang near everyone here DOES NOT want you here Nobody believes any you post. All you do is irritate people. Your experience of killing one deer and a very short time owning a Barnett does not make you the expert you think you are. We do know you consider yourself A LEGEND IN YOUR OWN MIND, be we don't want to see you crapola postings.
