Broadhead size/wt.
Hi people, yes I'm new on here and to the world of crossbows, I shoot compound normally but want to take up the crossbow during the late archery season here in Indiana
Icurrently shoot the new 2008 Barnett Revolution AVI, 160lbs.,345fps. w/100gr. slick tricks
I was wondering about broadhead weight on my bolts if I add a homemade lighted nock. heres what ive came up with for bolt weight...
Easton carbon power bolt @ 22" = 231gr.
moon nock = 12gr.
aluminum insert = 43gr.
light insert = 20gr.
duravanes 4" x 3 = 24gr.
This comes out to 330gr. + 100gr BH = 430gr.
or 330gr. = 125gr. = 455gr.
should I shoot a heavier bh due to adding more weight on the back of shaft?
PS. yes this CB is quite by CB standards.
(shot a few kinds and read the reviews)

RE: Broadhead size/wt.
i like to use 125 grain shockwaves or vortex heads with fresh deer blood on em
i shoot a darton impact that also uses 22 inch arrows in the 485 grain range
with the heads on rated at 343 for a 475 grain so i should be around 340
i thunk!!!!!
