first crossbow
hello everyone
im 20, been a bow hunter my whole life, compound when i was younger, got into recurve when i was 16 and have loved it ever since, recently shot my first cross bow and no im hooked. i relize i need to go out and see what feels right for me. But what im looking for is what brands or models are good quality and which to avoid. Seems like alot of people like the excalibers. also how do i know what bolts go to which bows, all we have aorund here are major chain stores and i dont trust most of those guys. does it still go off the draw length like a reg bow? i looked online just to get a sense of what was out there and bolts rarley seem to give a length?
thank you for any help.

comfort is what picking out a CB for your self is about. Excals are recurve design and the company and their CB's cannot be beat for service/warranty and the product as a whole. almost all CB's use either 20" or 22" arrows. they shoot alum. or carbons my choice in alum. are 2219 size and i use GTII with 110 gr brass front inserts. no draw length but power stroke is what they use. pm me and i will say the brands that are having problems. better not to be open bashing as i like CB's and to steal my friends awshucks line some more than others!

i have owned 3 xbows currently own 2, an xcal and a 10 point love both of them. don't know much about any others. good luck! just be aware that just because you can put a scope on one,it does not mean you can shoot to the next county with it! phil
