best to get
i just got a horton team real tree 175 hd crossbow and i cant get it to shoot consistant and i shoot on a regular basis. i was told to try another bolt and grain tip. so what would be the best for what i have? season is a week away and need to get it strait. thanks

This is a tough question to answer as there are soooooo many variables.
#1 are you using a rope cocker? [centers string which is critical to accuracy]
#2 are you shooting field points or bheads? [some bheads are VERY contrary to xbow use]
#3 what arrows are you currently using?
#4 Have you contacted Horton? [if not, do so asap]

If your'e shooting inconsistant...this has nothing to do with the type of "arrow".
IF...you were shooting "the same arrow"...consistantly low..right/left...high..what-ever...but consistant...then I might agree...try a different arrow combination.
BUT...you're saying inconsistant...I take this as the arrow is ending up all over the target...is this correct?
If you have double checked that the riser is tight on the stock....I'd look seriously at #1 or #2 from awshucks list of posibilities...in that order.
Try a rope cocker and tell us what happens..before you jump to too many conclusions and call Horton. Try these options first.
