1st i am not a Horton guru but there are several on here that can help you. congrats on your CB. instruction can most likely be gotten from Horton. the dial a range will let others tell as i am not up to snuff on them. the 20 or 22" doesn't matter as long as they come out past arrow slot. Horton i think says min arrow wt. of 425 yes it can shoot 22" no problem. that dail a range will go up and down with your shooting almost all pin them(search) on forum directions for that. about all i know on Hortons

Horton are actually good people to deal with, give them a shout and I am sure they will send you a manual. The dial-a-just (that knob on the side) kinda stinks...Anytime you have motion in your scope base, accuracy can suffer and I have known people to knock them and not realize and loose deer because they shot over or under. Personaly I would lock it down and use the adjustments on your scope to change impact point. Generaly the lines are 10yrd increments, but that is an aproximation...you will need to sight it in with the top crosshair then move back and see at what distance you impact with the next crosshairs down. longer arrows work fine, but are a tad slower due tot eh extra weight, but they tend to be more stable. If you have the dial at zero and cannot get any more adjustment out of the scope that could be due to the heavier arrows. Set the dial at 2 and lock it down and then go from there...

The Horton Dial adjust is a P.O.S. My advise is to set it to 0, then expoxy the damn thing so it doesn't move. Like Wyvern said use your scope's vertical and horizontal adjustments to sight in. I believe this year Horton no longer puts the Dial Ajust P.O.S on the new bows. ABout time they did away with that!!

Griz, are you sure "0" is the place to pin it? I seem to recall "2" as being parallel to the deck/rail. I would worry a tad about fixing it permanent in a position that won't allow enough scope adjustment. Myself, I'd put the bottom half of a set of rings on yhe mount and check tilt or absense there of w/ a straight edge. Read something that came from Horton a year or so back, they claimed the split on the dial-a-rage was about 50/50 w/ it being either love or hateing it, lol.

A friend of mine had one of the first Hortons with dial adjust and he thought it was great. But that was in the era of using a peep and pin, before scopes came to be practically standard. I can't see how it could be useful at all if you've got a multi-reticle scope?

Dan, you might be right about where to freeze it. What I did was make sure the mouint was level and perpendicular to the barrel, then glued it. Mine would never stay constant no matter what I did , so I epoxied it. End of probelms.

I have that same CB and it is a great CB. Down side is it is about as heavy as they come, and the Dial-A-Range. I think Horton did a double stupid IMO on that one. The D-A-R is made for a single reticle scope or a single red dot, not a multi reticle, and they sold them CB's as packages with the multi reticle on it. If you want to stay with the multi reticle set the D-A-R at 2 and leave it there and use the scope lines. Top is 10, main one is 20 and then the bottom three are 30, 40 and 50. You will find out with that scope that your 10 and twenty will be pretty good, but the 30, 40, and 50 will be off some, not much you can do about it, that scope was made for the 300 FPS range and yours shoots faster. IMO you will have better luck with the D-A-R and a single red dot, but the D-A-R IMO and most sucks!! I think the best scope for any CB is the Lumizone by Excal, I have it and the Varizone. You can play with the D-A-R, and the multi reticle, but I was pretty fed up with it after one season. Let us know what you do and how it turns out!
