Default Parker Buck Buster 175

Does anyone own one or have shot one ? i have tried the 150 out, it was decent CB. I like the feel of them and the weight. Thinking if the 175 proves to be good one i may buy one. []

Played with one while I was loooking at my Cyclone, Great bow for the $. I'm guessing it will shoot well over 330 fps. with the 400 gr arrow.

I have sold a bunch of them...they are exactly the same size as the 150 Buck Buster but ALOT faster ( yes, in the 330fps range)and the Next G-1 camo is very cool! They are abit louder and have a bit more shock than the 150(to be expected) but not dramaticaly so and if you upgrade to a bolt with abit more FOC they are tack drivers (the factory bolts are aluminum inserts with a 125gr tip, if you use those a 150gr tip works very well)

I'm the new kid on the block when it comes to crossbows even through I've used traditional equipment for years. I went with the Parker Buck Buster 150 as my first crossbow because it was easier to use with the cocking rope than the 175 and still would bemore thanadequate for Illinois deer. Mine shoots a tight group at 30 yards and is very forgiving as toincreased FOC effecting arrow flight. I'd think the 175 would be a great choice realizing that just a little more "umph" will be needed to cock it but you get a flatter shooting crossbow in the process. Tom

Maybe theVixens would be nicer to you if you treated them better. You know some fresh lube or a new string. The grass is always greener.

My brother in law has the 175 Buckbuster and he loves it. It is a shorter stocked crossbow but he has very short arms and has no trouble cocking with a rope cocker. He doesn't have enough arm length to cock my Exocet and runs out of rope past his waist. It's fairly light and he alsofeels it manuvers around in the woods better being shorter.

I'm sorry Mike. I guess if truth be told I too lust for others but they generally have two legs although there are exceptions. Than I realize I am an old guy who just ain't a chick magnet anymore. I think it wasone of your great elder southern leaders ( can't put my finger on who ) who said he had "lusted in his heart".
I just glad my wife does not know one fishing reel from another cause at this time of year I would be in big trouble. ROCK ON mike old pal.

I owned a 150 for a while. Nice size and feel but otherthan that (IMO) there wasn't much there. The reason I say this is that the trigger assembly was held in by the 2 trigger guard screwsresulting in the trigger assembly and scope rail "dancing around" making it virtually impossible to keep it sighted in PLUS the barrel was high about mid way out leaving the point end of the arrow not touching the barrel groove. That situation seemed to gradually get worse. Accuracy was marginal as a result, at least that's what I blamed it on. I sold the crossbow to a guy that had much less demanding ex-pectations in the crossbow than I did.
