ORIGINAL: awshucks
there are only three ways to cock that bow. By hand, rope cocker, or crank type.
Actually there is a fourth way...

Get someone else to do it.

Quote: Is the ordinary Cocking aid kit(35,5€) better(if we talking about accuracy), than if "we" cocking with the hands?...

Yes. And much easier on hands.

You made a good choice. Good luck

Jea i thought rope cocker. Its exactly this one:
Tnx again guzy...tha's all for now:P
...btw, about arrows, crossbow "include":
3 arrows (aluminium)/ 443 grain / 20" / AIA 2219 (http://www.aiacrossbow.com/accessori...numarrows/133/)

...and i will probb. order with crossbow 5more arrows, ten.pont arrows (AL)
they are 420grains(reccomended for that c.bow). 20" (http://www.aiacrossbow.com/accessori...numarrows/113/)

Or i should order for that money 3 carbon arrows 423grains/20"
http://www.aiacrossbow.com/accessori...bonarrows/112/
and not 5 (al arrows)?

tnx.

me, i would use alum. arrows.
many use carbon.

i like alum. because i can turn the front insert to tune point,if i need to.
get them with 2 inch blazers vanes.
they are cheaper but they bend.not very often.

but i am new to crossbows BUT have been shooting/hunting with bow for a longtime.

dnk suggest exocet 200,i would go with his rec and others too.

The pull handle from the excal rope cocker looks exactly like the handle on my lawnmower (briggs&stratton). Wonder if its the same mold?

little trick i use to shoot my crossbow.

i fill up a FEED BAG with old blue jeans, rags.

make it real tight in bag and tie off top.

i have yet to shoot a arrow threw bag, most only go in about 5 inchs.

afterwhile just move rags around inside bag and shoot in same spot.

do this and you wont lose arrow.start out sighting in at 10 yds.good luck and have fun.

..ok, can i set one question about Compound Bow and crossbow(recurve,compound)...
If we compare a compound bow and crossbow, both about with arrow speed 310fps...
does the compound bow have heavier arrows as crossbow, if we are looking something about 400-450 grains(crossbow)...Is the compound bow in that range about weight of arrows, or does it have havier arrows... Which one can be useed for "longest accuaracy" shooting?...
i read "many" things of crossbow shooting at quite long ranges here: http://www.cacciaebalestra.altervist...ESE/Main0.html
100yards and very accuarate....What about compound bow, can be compared with crossbow at this range-distance?

thank you!

Milan

It is my understanding that a Compound style requires a heavier arrow compared to a recurve style, maybe more can help with this. I do know that Excal's can shoot lighter arrows then Horton's. The guy in the site you posted is a expert! He is not your normal shooter, but one that is very, very good! Most can not do what he does. Not saying you can not, but do not think that after you open the box you can do what he does, he is a pro.

with recurve exomax u can shoot 420 grains arrows with the same energy as ten-point phantom...but jea, i know if we compare 506grains arrows(or more), than phantom "provide" more energy, but not much more...arrow from phantom can travel about 20fps faster (506grains), than arrows from exomax....but anyway, jeah, i understand!......
"things" about that guy, italian guy - jeah, hes an expert. I know, i "cant" shoot like he does, mybe one day:P...he use "special" arrows and....
anyway i would be happy, if i could hit a 2",3" group at 40 - 50 yards ...

thank you!

Milan.
