Oops, forgot the vanes at around 10 Gr ea. so now they weigh 220 gr, I shoot 100 gr slicks, still 30 short. Now is where it gets tricky cause you need to check the FOC, Too high and the bolts nosedive, not enough and they shoot like a scatter gun. Its a lot of trial and error but when you are done, WOW. My exocet will hit a 1 inch bull at 20 yds everytime off sand bags.

Good luck, Stan

Yes, Id is the same I can use all my spare nocks and inserts in either shaft. If you want fast, new ones weigh 7.3 gr per inch, nock is 20 gr, alum. insert is 30. If I add them up, I get 196 gr for a 20 inch. My excal needs 350 min with tip. So I must add some weight somewhere.

Hope this helps, Almost all Cb's have a min. weight for the bolts, So please check.

Lotsa Luck, Stan
Stan: 7.3 gr X 20 = 146 plus 22 gr alum nock = 168 gr + 27 gr for 4" vanes = 195 gr + 110 gr brass inserts = 305 gr + 100 gr points = 405 gr w/ about 19% foc, fly like darts. W/ 8.6 gr shafts add 26 gr for 431 gr [Millers killers] still fly like darts. Much better performance than 350 gr minimum, quieter, easier on bow and they only cost you 14 fps if you use FFF string.

Ranger
Brass inserts come in serveral weights, the 90 gr and 110 being most common. If you have the 90 grns in the earlier shaft, it could account for the difference.
