The thing is, people were comfronting those statements with comments on excalibur. You replied with the same statement the other guy made, but you knew that those members were thinking it was Excalibur. This might have been an oversite in your part, but that was not how it came across. This was why the comments bothered me.
I am still wondering why this other member did not try to correct the way members had taken his statement ............ concidering he is also the MODERATOR on that forum. Again that only leads to people thinking they are being mislead.

I try to be nice and not call out other companies with stuff like that. (I have also on more then one occasion, suggested and praised a competitors bow when one of ours was not the best fit) Sorry, but I was expecting a little more respect/good faithfrom some guys then what I got. I have never, to my knowledge, posted anything false about mine, or another companies product.[:@]

It was my original statement (which was true) and he was just forwarding it on. He does not have any more info on it then my comment. Dan owns an Excalibur, I know it, as do most others. I said it was the other guy thinking that would clear it up. Apparently not.

I do believe that, and I have said earlier, that I had respect for you and did not expect any misinformation from you or this company (tenpoint). I also stated that it could all be misstatements or an oversite in your statement, but it should be corrected. I still think that the other member there (Revival) should have correct the incorrect thinking (that you were comparing it to Excalibur) which the others believed (there was many) but he just let it go on and on.
Also RAndy, it is not calling out another company if you state a fact that your bow is narrower then theirs or ther if it out preforms theirs as long as you can back it with data. That would be just the facts and nothing but the facts (he he ... old TV show coing out of me). No one can hold anything against you for doing or say the facts of your bow compared against another bow. IS that not what people come to the forums for, to learn the truth and to gather information.

Randy, you do not have to defend anything about yourself, you should be enjoying your time with your family. Not that it matters but you have my trust and respect that is not shaken by what (slightly misleading) revival has said. I would never think that you or Ten Point would ever offer any misleading information. You are right, it is not your style.

I posted it an it is not bogus information. I do have all my facts. Excalibur is certainly competition, but so is Barnett, Horton, PSE, Middleton and several others. Sorry if I did not post an exact model and company. I was not trying to snowball anybody or mislead them in any way.

That is one of two things. That is either showing how ignorant that poster was, or a act of misinformation. If a guy makes a post like that then he should have all the facts. If there is a CB out there that is wider and he does not consider Excal there main competition in the recurve market then they are far enough back on the train that Excal should never have to worry. If he is purposely posting bogus information then it's nice to see the kinda people they have representing for them.

One point I will disagree with you about is theBuck that the original poster I was referring to killed. Ifa guy goes to his site and looks at all the info in there I wasnot able to see that he used aHorton. His site openly endorses TenPoint and has no links or even a mention of Horton on that site, all his crossbow kills are just listed as taken with a crossbow, no mention of name or model. Wouldn't you think that would be good info to have on a site of a record buck, the tool used to harvest with? I guess like you say he is open about it, but the average person should not think after seeing his site that maybe they shouldemail him or drop him a phone call to confirm the CB used. I think that is misleading, You know it, and I know it! The average person that sees that site will think he took it with a Tenpoint. Tenpoint is allowing there trademarks to be used on his site because they know it will draw in sales by this misleading info. Again, I talk about this since the majority of this post is about misinformation, and this is a example of that tied to the original poster.

RE: Gander Mt....
I haven't seen the website or poster in question but I have to agree with Hotburn in that if you only list game as taken with a crossbow and only mention one brand on your site, it is logical to assume that is the brand used. As far as Horton and Ten Point getting into the recurve market, it always seems to help when there is competition in anything. Maybe now some company will finally make a hard case or a very good padded soft case for recurve limbed crossbows.

Hotburn,
I was not centered on you, you just had posts that needed responses, so I did that. I am better this morning. I just felt a little blind sided when I read all the issues about it. Better now.
