That all depends on alot of things.

IF your shooting is accurate, and hit in the right place (the vitals) it will take down almost any animal in North America. The Exocet 200 is a 200 pound bow and to put things into prespective ......................

There have been many MOOSE taken with a 150 pound Excalibur bows. In fact, I believe that the record moose for Ontario Crossbow was taken with a 150 pound bow.

Shot placement is most important.

I would say any animal on our side of the ocean would be no problem! LOL!! BT, the founder of Excal took a elephant with the Emax, and that is only 25# more, so anything over here will be no problem. Them older guys from the sixties killed many elk and moose with slow recurves, good shot placement is the key!

Hotburn76, yes Bill Troulbridge did kill an elephant with the Exomax, a stock one at that, but he used heavy arrows and hunting heads to give a higher KE. The same could be done with any bow, the higher KE can be gained by using a heavier arrow/head combo. This will slow your arrow down, but will give you greater KE.

There was another member from the Excalibur forum, from the praires that hunted Prairie Buffallo with an Exomag. I am not sure if his model was the 185 or the 200 lb model, but he was successful with no problem.

I think there is nothing that can't be taken with the Exocet with in reasonable conditions.

Bill proved that with the proper arrow and head you can take any game. The only trick to it is really knowing what you are doing. Most good hunters study the anatomy of the game before they hunt it, with the proper information a chane to study it and the right arrows and heads I would not hesitate to hunt any thing legal. Lee
