RE: Barnett any good
I have a quad 400,killed 5 deer with it with no problems. it shoots 3in groups at 40 yards.i did replace the string on mine this year.worst thing i see is the bolts from barnett that came with it sucked. i'm shooting beeman thunderbolts and 125grn muzzy fixed blade broadheads.before this one i had a pse that i couldn't hardly hit a basketball at 15 yds with.
natchez has the best price on the q-400 package, quiver, bolts, scope ,289.00

I also have the ProFusion and think its the cat's meow for a compound.I got mine with the AcuDraw, steddy eddy, sling and quick release quiver. The only thing I would change would be the scope.I wish I new someone that had the Acudraw50 on one so I could try it,think it would be faster then the crank.

I agree its more so the shooter and not the bow that gets the job done.
I would like to get me another xbow with alittle more power behind it. I am currently shooting a PSE Copperhead I got brand new for $100. I have over 500 practice shots through it this yr (still origional serving) and can knock the nuts off a squirrel at 30 yards with it. Took alot of practice to get it set perfect and dialed in but that was part of the fun.
I am looking at adding a Hawkins Black Powder kit to my collection soon and use that next yr for deer hunting. There is nothing wrong with my old .50 or my new .45 both have killed deer. I want to be different, as they now have electronically fired black powder guns.. Technology takes a step forward and I take a few steps back.

my wife and myslef shoot Barnett quad 400's and have minimal problems.this year made 16 deer , 3 turkeys and couple hogs; my wife has 4 turkey ; 6 or 7 hogs and 6 deer. all were great kills(passthru).
I would buy another Barnett right now; in a min. the ("RC 150 is not a hunting bow.") go with the quad 300 or the 400 if you decide with Barnett.
good luck in what ever you decide.
