Default One Thousand Shot Buck- Take 2

For the second year in a row, I've taken a muley buck with the samebolt that I shot 1000 times for practice before the season!

The shot was 25 yds. from the ground. I was following his tracks when he came back toward me. It was a tough shot. I had to twist to my right and duck down to clear some branches. He was slightly quartering toward me, but I shot right above the leg in the V between the leg (shoulder) bones and got both lungs. He ran hard for about 200 yds. I found the broken bolt about 5 yds. from the buck. Gotta love the rut!

Good Buck, broken Bolt but it did its job. I recover mine from my small 4 pt. and its still in decent shape to use again. Snow is good fer blood trailing. I trailed my 3 pt. i got this morning during the drizzling rain. Made fer tuff tracking but i heard him crash in the switch cane. He made it about 35 yds.

Congrats Doug! Nothing better then blood on snow!! To bad the arrow was bent so bad. I am in the process of having a custom made case to display arrows in that are from harvest hunts, should get it before Christmas.
