Just about the throw in the towel. I just cannot take this heat anymore. Don't blame the deer for moving just at night. For in the day, it's so dern hot. I believe it's cooler in July on a Miami Beach somewhere.
Getting all monster shots at night on the Cuddeback cameras, but in the day, all I'm getting coming out on me is does and smaller bucks. And that's only just at daylight >>>> To top it off, I've done lost three brand new On-Time Auto Solor Feeders, and one Eliteto black bear. They are tearing up everything in sight, andI can't touch 'em. They just don't tear up the feeders, the maul 'em to no extent.
Had a very bad day today, Went to put up two more feeders I just purchased to replace some of the others mess-up, and " BAM " two more are " RIPPED -UP "
They need to open season on these over grown coons. Might just take up all the feeders and try to hunt when it gets a little cooler. Been taking out alot of Coyotes and Boar Hogs. But no big deer to write about. I'm going to try to get a good nights sleep, and maybe my nerves will fall back into shape.

Ifeel your pain! I've been fighting the giant black rats here since 2002. They come through at will and tear up anything they can get their paws on. I learned early on they can smell the film in 35 mm game cams which they tear off tree's, had them climb into my pickup to tear open trash, dog food has to be locked up, lol. I started baiting them last year but haven't shot one yet, they come off a mountain in Natl Forest and the wind gets me alot, as the thermals in the am tend to go up the mntn. Season [bow] opens 10/01 every year and it's still real warm here then. Their day is coming!!!

I all about perserving wildlife. THAT IS A FACT !!!
Down here, they are on the so called endangered species list. That's bull, for they are no even close to be threatened. I'm bumping close to 50 yrs, and they been on " that " list as long as I can remember. Yes, maybe many moons ago, they might have been only a few, but heck, it time they need to do something.
The way I have it figured, if the wildlife & fisheries want to keep 'em. Let them pay for all the things they tear up. I can remember at one time, in another state, that if one hits a deer with thier automobile, the state had to pay for it. Well, I think if they want to keep 'em on the list, let the state pay for all the equipment and things that good folks have had to work so hard for. This is really getting out of hand. And it's not just mine, it's everybody's down here in the south. We are hearing " horror " stories every day. There is a man, last year, set up hog traps, a black bear made his way into one and died, the man checks his traps every morning. Anyway, being the sportman that he is, called the Louisiana Wildlife & Fishers , BIG MISTAKE , he lost just about everything he had, had to spend time behind bars, and the fine, we'll, let's just say, he had to sell his house just to keep him from spending " many moons " in jail. And pay all kind of fines and expenses to have the bear replaced . Now this was not like he ment to kill this bear. It was the bears fault that he went into the trap and died of exhaustion or heart attack. But that's what kind of mess we are against down here !!!!

Twqo friends just got back from Idaho where grizllies robbed them of 3 quarters from the two elk they shot. They were smart enough to go after the rope (tied at an angle, away from the meat) that held the meat in the air. Sounds like they were not afraid of humans one bit. Another hunter lost part of an elk in the same area and he had left clothing on the kill.
