Default Help with Horton Explore 150

Missed my second buck this season one at 31yds and second at 34yds. First went up and I went just under second down and I was just over. I am dead on right and left. I only have silencer on limbs and none on string.
30ydsat the houseno problem. Are they hearing it coming or is it me? This is my first year with crossbow.

I didn't quite get what up and down on Bucks at 31 & 34 yds. Did you shoot over one & under one? They may have jumped string, thats always a problem. I shot my 4 pt. at 11 yds. max and Miss Vixen be slow as molasses in Jan. using my 560 gr. arrows. She is quiet with heavy arrows. So you either need to get Bow quieter or get faster arrows or keep shots under 30 yds.

I am shooting maybe 260 fps, really about 250 but 260 sounds faster.30 yds. is my max.Irather setup shots25 yds. and under. That way i have better chance of getting deer before they hear arrow. Deer react quickly by dropping down as they 're getting ready to jump.[]

Only real way to make Bow quieter is using heavy slow arrows and keep shots 25 yds. and under. They jumped string on you cause they were alert and not calm. Best way i knowed to help with that is aim at bottom of heart. Then as they drop down yer arrow will hit them top of heart or lungs!

Well ain't no use beating yourself up over the Bucks jumping string. Its happened to me several times over the years. I always try to shoot the closest deer to me. Yup those Bucks are great in pic's and talk about. Doe's always eat better, the older one's are plenty smart. Who do you think teaches the little Bucks as they grow up.
