shot placement from an elevation?

RE: shot placement from an elevation?
Five to seven yards is a close shot and in my ladders and at 20' is almost a one lunger, but two if I am lucky and hit high. The closest I have shot a deer was at eight yards and that was in my 23' to the platform and I hit about two thirds the way up and came almost right out the center of chest. I pushed and did not get that deer until next day. I practice on my father in-laws barn roof which is a little over 20' and the closest I do is 10 yards, just had my Vortex up there Friday afternoon before work. Anything closer and his older cars are on one side and other stuff on the other side I do not care to damage. But from 10 to 30 yards I never see any difference in POI. But I have no idea what happens to a arrow straight down, and by straight down I would say 0 to 10'. Just practice Dave and yo should be able to figure out what is comfortable for you and your bow.
