Can't get Slick Tricks to group out of my Tenpoint TL-7 HELP!!
I have been trying to get the slick tricks to shoot out of my Tenpoint TL-7 and I can get them to group at all. I can't get my mechanicals to group the same as my feild points but both the feild points and mechanicals group very well just have to resight it in.
This is what all I have tried I am shoting Carbon Impact bolts with flat nocks. They were 22" with 5" vanes not luck gettiing the tricks to group at all so I cut the shafts down to 20" still no luck but got a little better so then I tried some 2" Blazers still shot about the same. And the Mechanicals shot about 5" right of the feild points but group very well. Should I try a different brand of bolt I want to shoot carbon and should they be 20 or 22"? I am thinking of trying the Easton Thunderbolt, are they good bolts and what would you suggest as far as bolt combination with the Slick Tricks and my Tenpoint TL-7? Thanks

My guess is you got wobble in the Slicks. To get it out, loosen the head and spin the little washer some, then retighten real tight, recheck. Sometimes it takes 3-4 attempts to get them right. I use a set up w/ a dial indicator to do mine, but watched Smokepole get 2 set up by eye that were absolutely perfect when checked w/ indicator. I'm using same arrow as 10 pt Elites, or whatever they call their Gold Tip carbons.

I checked for wobble by eye balling it and they looked good and I tried different heads on different shafts numerous times still the same problem they shot all over the place.
What gets me is that the mechanicals rocket sidewinders shoot 5" right to the feild tips and the weigh the same????

Mark, welcome to the xbow world. Nice to have you aboard. Didn't think you'd ever own one.
How are you pulling the string back?

There's very little that can throw a shot off like you are describing. If you are using the factory recommended shafts then it points towards the broadheads. What weight are you using for the field points and broadheads? I think you should get those shafts on a proper spinner, not just eyeball it.

All the broadheads and feild points are 100 grain and the tricksare the magnums. I don't have a spinner and the closest shop that does is over 50 miles away!
