I have a HortonSuper Max Hunter HD 200 lb.. shooting the Horton Carbon w/ fixed broadheads 100gr. >>> I Give all my thanks to God, for he blessed me with a super year last year, and know he'll stand by me " flingging the sticks" this year. I'm from the deep south, swamps ofLouisiana . I do the deer management thing on our plantations, love taking care of the deer all year round. It's just about a full time job by itself !!! Waiting for a rain, going to start planting the winter food plots between the 15th - 18th of Sept. ,

If I understand right, Horton stopped the line of the 200lb HD Hunters, last year. For I tried to order another a few months later for my brother and they said it will not be no more like 'em. It was explained to me that it was a great bow, but not many folks wanted them for the pulling weight of the crossbow was just to much for them. I use a Horton Ez Crank, which does perfect. but without the crank, no man can even pull it back. It is strong, if I had to do it again, I'd get the 150lb., that was all I needed. But like everything else in my life, I over do things. So I'm hung with the big boy !!! Went threw two Boar Hogs with one shot last year, the shaft never knew they were there !! Even had to find & purchase a special target, for it would got threw everythingI have found on the market, included the internet. The shafts now will just about go threw the special target I have now.....

Welcome to the forum. A great bunch of guys in here that like to have a good time and you can get great info to. I almost bough that CB a few years back but settled for the Super max 175. It's a great bow and I liked it alot, never had any problems with it. I also shoot a Excal, the weight issue is what turned me on to them and I just bought a Excal Vortex this summer. You and Kenneth will have alot of fun in here, don't be afraid to jump right in and share. You have any buck pics to share like him? Sounds like you two have some good hunting ground.

Being my wife loves to hunt as much as I. AND, she kills just as many asI ( SHE IS DEADLY WITH HER SNIPER RIFLE) .. She started muzzleloader huntingabout six years ago, just to get jump on the season. Last year, she told me to purchase her a bow so she can even get more "goodie" out the the seasons. So, I did. This will be her first with the compound bow. She's starting to fling 'em really good. If she does just a fraction as good as she does with any other weapons, she will beat me come this season. She is the best hunting partner a man could ask for, she kills, she helps haul 'em in, she helps clean & process the meat. We have our own processing set-up for the sausage & ground meat etc ..... >>>>>>>
She does all this, and still manages to run her full fleg beauty shop. Lots of folks around here, are really impress as what she does, as being a woman and all >> She can talk the talk, walk the walk , about anything to do with deer management / deer harvest / and just about any weaponthathas gunpowder in it, on the market . Give her a little time, and she will get this new bow down, and suprise the world. I am very proud of her.
Now this year will be a little easier, we just purchased a new Kubota RTV to do the deer management thing / and have something better to haul the deer / hog / gators / coyotes back to the barns !!!!!

Last year, when I started Crossbow hunting, I was looking for some sort of tracer knoc for the x-bow. Has anybody yet started putting any in production, and if so, who and where may I find them. Last year, my very first deer to kill with the Horton crossbow, shaft went threw, deer fell in a few steps, got back up and run and jumped into the bayou, and the damn gators got to it . Broke my heart, for it being my first with the crossbow, well, ya'll know what I mean. At least the gators got a nice, fat , buck to show for the new crossbow >>>>> But after a few days, I took up the slack and started dropping them deer & hogs like flies !!!!
