What's your Excalibur Setup (bolts and broadheads)?

RE: What's your Excalibur Setup (bolts and broadheads)?
HH I shoot an excalibur exocette 160# i think. I don't know if the fluted arrows shoot better but they do work well in my bow. I think the bolts and heads weigh in at 380 gr. light and very fast I cronied them at 290 fps. I have been using this set up for several years. I originally got my excal arrows 26" from Cabela's and cut them down myself.
With the new more powerfull bows 350 fps is possible, but my rig works so well I think i'll keep it. My buddy bought a new exomag now he has to use a cocking device. i can cock and un cock my exocette by hand. I get full pass through on every deer I whack and on 2 moose I have taken. More speed means a flatter traj, but I have enough power as it is.

Using an Exo Max with Flemish string twisted to inner notch.
Vapor Crossfire 30-06 = 90-195lb. All Carbon 20" bolts. (Light but fast)
4" Vanes with curved nock (Better Patterns)

RE: What's your Excalibur Setup (bolts and broadheads)?
I shoot beman thunder bolts with 4" feathers set at a 5 deg offset, theaded inserts for nocks and 125gr NAP thunderheads, I was expecting to drop a small bit of weight by using threaded inserts instead of solid nocks but beman's standard inserts for their carbon shafts are actually a little heavier than the solid nocks that they come with so my arrows ended up being an average of 438.2 gr
I have never been a big fan of carbon arrows in my compound bows so I also have a set of alumin 2216's set up the same way as my carbons, just in case I decide I dont care for them in my crossbow and want to switch,my 2216'scome out to around 438.5 average
built like that the carbons have a FOC of around 12% and the alumin arrows have a FOC of around 11%, both perform great out of my phoenix during target shooting and I dont see either being a problem for hunting
Ialso have a few 2213's I put together just to see how they worked, they weight an average of 390 gr with 125 gr tips, which is a little on the light side for me

Just a simple man with a simple set-up. An out of the box pheonix with a right stuff pack. Shooting the same Rocket 100gr. Steelheads that I use with my compounds. Fly like darts with zero malfunctions and I was VERY happy with the way it performed last season. My arrows are over the counter Eastons but they shoot better than I do so not sure of the need to change. If I was worried about shooting past 30 yards I might tweek things abit though.
I would like to try a couple of the legendary " BOO " strings but I don't know the secret hand shake yet... I just hope there is not a hazing required to get one.>>>>>>>>>>>&g t;>>>>>>>Whack!!

Awshucks,
Here is a link to the Crossfire bolts. http://www.blackhawkarchery.com/products/family.asp?cid=57-3E10A569-0E31-48D6-9B44-EC04097A7BF8&rnd=240149024
Used to use the Easton XX75 2219 aluminum.
Crossfire carbons much fast and groupings better. Pushing 350fps
