Well I have made it back in. I have not been ignoring you guys. We bought a new house and sold our other one. We start moving tomorrow.

Now the bow. I got the new strings in from Horton and the new sound stoppers. They are harder than the other ones and they added some more string around where the string hits the stopper (cant remember what this is called. Its wrapped like where the string wraps around the limbs). I plan on changing the string and shooting it some before I decide on taking it back. I should get a chance this weekend to shoot it. Can I change the string without a stringing aid? I hate to buy one only to not like the bow and return it.I havent had much time to think about it but I can probably just bend the limbs by hand, but I have not tried this.

Man what a busy week. I got a chance to go see the new deer lease and shot a3 1/2 foot rattle snake while I was out there. The old single six came through again. Saw a ton of turkeys and several deer. Really excited about this. My wife found out she is expecting our 3rd child and like I said we have been dealing and signing papers on two houses. I promise to post some pictures of my shooting sometime this weekend.........

Default RE: Tomorrow is the big day (Legacy by Horton)

I know I promised to post some pictures but I have to be able to shoot the bow to take them. I shot the bow about 10 times and the enw and improved stoppers flew off each time or the string went past the stopper. I just dont think that the bow will ever shoot consistent. I just called Bass pro and told them.I am now at work andthey have a 30 day return policywhich will run out while I am here. They were going to talk to management to see what theyc ould do plus call Horton. i gave them my contact there. Below is teh e-mail I sent to Horton explaining the problem.

Subject: Product Question
Message: I bought a Legacy 200 from Bas Pro. I had some issues with the new
sound stoppers damaging the strings. Horton sent me the new style stoppers
and string but I cannot get one of the stoppers to stay on and the string
bends the other one and goes either on top of it or under. Every time I
shoot it the stoppers flies off and goes about 10 feet. I have moved the
sound stopper bars up and down and this does not help. I have left for work
and will be gone for 3 weeks but would like to get this fixed before I
return home since deer season will open when I am home next. I paid 700
dollars for this bow and have only been able to shoot it 20 or 30 times
because of the stoppers. The bow is vey comfortable but the stopper issue is
terrible. I need to get this fixed somehow or I need to return it and I will
buy a Excalibur.....Dont mean to be smart but 700.00 is a lot to spend on
something that does not work properly....Thanks Chris Patterson....Please
e-mail me with response because I you can only contact my wife by phone. If
need be I can have her mail it back to you to repair this...
