Ok. I am holdingmy head down in shame. I shot the bow 4 times and it was shot 4 times last night. The string is almost broke. I almost Sh** when I noticed it. I called Horton and they said they knew exactly what was wrong. The string stoppers that are on it are bad. The first ones they put on the Legacy was too soft and when the string hits it a few times it starts to break the string. They are fedexing me a new string and new sound stoppers. They were extremely nice about it and helpful......I have some more to post but I have to leave. Will finish later tonight, after a few drinks.......

I love Horton and I said the same about them as I said about Bowtech, first run is never fun!! There has to be guys to work the bugs out in the beginning but it always sucks when you are one of them! Horton has always been nice to me on the phone and alot of people have had good dealings with them on costumer service.

I would say this about any one or anything, even my own mother if she tried to sell something....Did they shoot it four times before they started to make it full scale????? Makes a guy wonder?

I tell y'all sumpen, R&D dept. knew that problem prior to selling their product! What they did was sell the CB and hope you will just use warranty service. They figure 70% of buyers won't return CB for their money back! I feel fer ya friend, here somemore great advice. Take it back and get the Dragon Slayer!

While you're down and getting kicked, lol, they had problems w/ those rubber gizmos flying off at one time, so if they ain't a beach to remove and replace, keep an eye on them for awhile. Sorry to hear you are having problems already.

I wish it hadnt happened but I find it hard to believe that they did not know about it prior to selling it. Honestly 8 shots and the string had frayed. Only eight shots and they knew exactly what was wrong when I called them. It sounds like there was no testing on this. How could they possibly tested it and not found this problem. they put it into production and ahve so many people have this problem in a few shots that it is already common. I didnt even have to explain it. i just said I was having trouble with my string after 8 shots and she asked what kind of sound stoppers were on it. I am disappointed in it, but I stand by my descision of buying something that was more comfortable. Now even though they are going to fix what is bad I am struggling on making a decision on returning it. Its hard to think about what else could go wrong with it sooner or later. I do like the bow and I liked the way it shot.......

Now the other. I read something on here where someone said you had to watch out when using the cocking aid. The bow has adjustments under the scope. It is dials on each side. When you use the cocking aid it will turn these. I lost a bolt because I did not check it before I shot. I missed the block and poof!!!!!the bolt was gone. I did find out that the cocking aid is supposed to go behind the scope and not the butt. If you do this you will not have this trouble.

This thing is extememly fast and shoots good. I was grouping the only8 shots I made instantly......To be continued

I will ad though that the lady that I dealt with was extremely polite and appologized several times....But that doesent always make up for paying 700 dollars and not work.

I am not at a loss fer words friend! They have had trouble with the scope and mounts and that traj. dial for years. I don't think the mount is heavy duty enough to continously use as a cocking aid alignment. On the Excal's its a concave line molded into the stock that rope cocking line lays in. How many times did you get to shoot the Excal's at Bass Pro? You did shoot them right? You didn't just pick one of each the Horton an the Excal and decided the Horton felt abit better? You did shoot the Horton before buying it right? That string problem should have jumped up in yer face quickly![:-]

I shot bot the Pheonix and the Legacy about 4 times. I think I am going to return it to bass pro and get the pheonix. I am leaving for a few days but will decide while I am gone......
