Well Horton's been making those compound CB's fer years. Its certainly accurate and powerfull enough fer any game you choose to hunt. I have an Excal you a Horton some others a Ten pt. They all work, yer happy shooting yers.Thats what counts, in yer heart my friend. Always stand with what you have, when you find one you like better then get it!

As I said in another new bow post I have had them for fifteen years and never had a problem. I think if you stay away from theWal-Mart version that Horton makes you will be OK. I went with a Excal this summer and did for a self maintenance reasons and the Excal is alot lighter then the Horton I had. This site made me start to shoot alot and having to go to a bow shop for a press and serving was not what I liked to do. The last time I went in for arrows and a serving the shop I used pooped in my punch bowl and have no intentions of going back so the independence I get with the Excal is satisfying. All of what I just said about my Excal is not needed, just trying to clear my guilty conscience! My Horton has been hanging on the wall and I feel like I am cheating on it!! LOL!! The Bow you got is fine and you will be happy with it!
