Got my new xbow-Bad experience
Well, my new xbow arrived from Cabela's w/ a frayed cable. On top of that the rope cocking device that was supposed to be back ordered until 6/1 was now bo'd until 6/29. Let me just say that Cabela's customer service is top-notch. I told the lady that I was very displeased w/ the Horton package as a whole and she is havingUPS pick it up and return it as well as shipping out my new xbow(The Excalibur Phoenix) at no charge. Thanks Cabela's! Everytime I've delt w/ them I've gotten this kind of service. Guess thats why I keep goin' back.

RE: Got my new xbow-Bad experience
Let me re-phrase what the problem was as it appears that my definition of "Frayed" is incorrect. The cable had a couple of strands that were unwound significantly. Sorry for the mix-up.

Cabelas always cost more but they have always treated me good too. Sorry to hear about your Horton problem. I almost have enough money for a new vortex, but hear there are some people not happy withthe triggers, so now I will need to wait and see how it pans out. Have not been on the Excal site for a while to see if Bill has responded to the complaints about it.

It was a little more money than I wanted to spend but what the heck. I like the fact that I'll be able to change the string out w/out a xbow press. Big plus!!! Seeing is that nobody up here works on xbows.

Give us some info on the new one when you get it. I really like my new Exocet it actually holds a little tighter group than my 10 point; to bad they don't have a good crank cocking mech. like the 10 point,I have to get down out off the tree to use that rope cocker. Lee
