i just offered a way to not end world and get a crossbow because of points doegirl commented on..there are ways to still shoot a recurve..
you dont think a 125 expanable with 25 pd bow will not kill deer..it will and deadly too..
you could use a ZWICKEY if you want but the expandable are much more accurate and easy to tune etc..i use a spitfire 125 in my recurve and in my CROSSBOW i use 100 gr spitfire with practice inserts..
lot safer too in tree..
i guess i cant comment at all on here,oh well..
have a nice day!

OMG, 25# bow w/ EXPANDABLES?? Sproul, you,ve gone from driving the Bozo bus to owning the bus line w/ that bit of nonsense. You give archery in general a bad name w/ most of your drivel, but this takes the cake.

Not, even, with like, the real blades?
You also seem to be pretty tripped up on the notion of "tradition". Please enlighten me on how your use of spitfire expandables is somehow inline with being "old school", as you say.

RE: I'm really starting to appreciate my crossbow...
Sproul must be having a minor brain fart. Are there any states that will allow a 25 lb draw weight? My 13 year old daughter is probably pulling at best 35 lbs with her Browning Micro. At 30 yds it looks more like a mortar in flight than an arrow. I am also quite sure it takes more energy to open an expanable on impact and would sure go fixed blade if I was shooting 25lbs. You can buy a little brave kids bow that shoots 25lbs for about $50.00. Now that is a cheap way to get into bow hunting of any sort. Maybe one of those little pistol Xbows in all I need??? Sproul.... come back from the dark side buddy as the force is just NOT with you..
