Okay, an update on my Stryker.

I called the company again today. This time I was told by John he remembered talking to me last week but didn't remember saying he would overnight it to me. He said he sent my request to Matthew. The same clown who has ignored me for the last three weeks. So I decided to talk to a manager. I got a manager. He told me it was sent and I should get it today. He said he didn't understand what the problem was. It was sent "2nd day service."

They sent me all my accessories. There was also a part sent that I have no idea what it is. But remember they said they'd also send a Stryker hat and John asked what my shirt size was? Nothing. They did however send me 4 target arrows for my troubles.

I will try this out because it's supposed to be awesome. But I will surely be willing to let anyone know I wouldn't go through this ever again. Not with this juvenile company and employees.

Dnk,

If the claims are correct, and it looks likely, this is an awesome bow for a gimp. It's got speed, arrow weight and range. 425 grain arrow, 405 fps (metered at 408) and a lot of kinetic energy at distance. I can easily carry an xbow on my off-road power wheelchair. It's just a question of whether the stink of the company and at least 4 employees is worth the extras. I'll let you know. Right now I'm fairly happy because I actually cocked the darn thing today and installed all the accessories. The three red dot scope is set at 20/40/60 yds. Can't find any others that offer as much for my hunting. But I'm used to gun hunting and maybe now I'll be able to get closer and don't need all this. We'll see. [:-]

Gimp, here's the unfortunate status of your existance on this forum. You have no history, you've only ever posted on the stryker, you've told us a story that is a bit hard to believe, your patience is overwhelming (almost supernatural), your price of the bow(they less than $1,800.00 cdn and you are saying you paid "It was more than 150% of that grand even with a discount be my dealer."), your suggestion that you are going to be shooting deer at questionable ranges and the stories of repetitive disappointment or repetitive screw ups of a bow manufacturer.
Why on earth would you pay for most of a bow Gimp? You might be real, we'll never know 100%. If you are for real I apologize for the inference but look back at what you've offered us and you'll see why there is come skepticism in our eyes.

Dnk,

Okay, I just showed up here because I was trying to find resources on crossbows.

The stryker is a $1700 bow. I got a discount from the dealer. But I still paid $1500. I'm sorry if any of this isn't believable.

I have accurately described in detail my personal dealings with BowTech trying to get what I paid for. I'm not bitching at the price. Just the lack of customer service and unreasonable delays.

My final update would be that I just received ANOTHER box from BowTech. I got the Hat they promised. I also got a complete second set of all the accessories.

If all this seems to be unreal, contact me directly. I'd be more than happy to provide you with my phone number if it helps. Come and visit. Whatever it takes for your comfort.

I'm used to being questioned as I am a legal consultant. I'm just not used to having my integrity questioned on such a subject. Sorry if I caused you any problems.

Dnk,

Is there something wrong with me giving a review? Has BowTech or the Stryker Bow been so good to us that my bad review is suspect? I'm just trying to figure out why you assume I'm the problem. Does my review sound so unrealistic? I bought the bow with a delivery date of 6 to 8 weeks. They are that new. They were for sale but they hadn't had them manufactured yet. Explaining the 6 to 8 week delay. Only after I received the bow without the equipment to make it work did I complain and join this group. Being that these bows are so new, is it so unreasonable that they hadn't gotten their procedures together to insure the accessories pack was sent with the Bow? Since there was already a Stryker heading, I told my story. My bad. I'll read but not offer any posts from here-on-out. Thanks for your time. [&o]

I tried not to say one way or another, since I have had problems reading people in the past, LOL!! But I really never seen to much wrong only that he does have alot more patience then most of us, I would have been at the shop pointing fingers and exchanging words. But having a disability like his probably helps teach patience. I also interpreted his 150% comment as he paid 1500 for it, which is only 100 bucks cheaper then the MSRP if I remember right.

You have to forgive us Gimp, we get trolled alot. Either by salesmen or by the antis. I am trying to give ya face value. I am usually the worst at reading people wrong and always take a post for the worst. Guys, personally I do not think we are being trolled, but this guy has stumbled across our site and is just giving us feedback. But we also all know I usually suck at reading post right! LOL!!!
