I qualify for disabled permit, but don't need anything here in Arkansas. For me to go hunt my friends 380 acres just across the border in La.I need a form filled out by a La doctor and then sent into La F&G for a permit. Can't use the local Veterans Dr here. My choices are to make an appt w/ some unknown Dr in an unknown town in La, drive over 2 hrs each way or just roll the dice and take my chances w/o permit. My friend doesn't care and neither do the deer. Might as well go whole hog and not buy a license either!! While I'm not advocating breaking laws, there's the same situation in alot of states that allow permits, has to be their states Dr. fill them out. All hoops I don't care to jump through.

I'm over 65 and have FL DisablePermit. Do I still need an Out of State license and is my Fl DA permit honored in Arkansas?

Reb, an outta state big game license in Arkansas is $125 for 5 days. My personal requirements are somewhat less stringent!!

The crossbow is simply an arrow launching device, there's no acceptable, logical reason for it to not be available for all to use if they choose to. I don't have pain issues, I just love shooting them. My state allows them for all game except for whitetail deer during our early archery period due to prejudice and organized discrimination on the part of he misinformed, though you can use them for deer during our late archery period for antlerless only. We had to fight for years just to get that little crumb due to the heavy backdoor politics and misinformation fed to our DNR by the "my way or the highway" crowd.
i just got my horton crossbow..i agree with your info..i think crossbows should be legal for ALL but not in the early archery season here in pa..

let crossbow hunters use their bows in gun season and late archery, let the early archery for recurve/compound hunters..
