Here is a good site to see how the back serve is done. It also explains how to tie a nock which is a great way to attach something like cat whiskers onto a string(they call it a nock point installation) but just tie the nock point or serving over what have you or tie a few wraps to mark your string for centering purposes.

Maybe I am pushing it but do you have anyinfo on fletching arrows and inserting the nocks with a bitzenberger. Can I use shorter fletching than that length on store bought arrows?
