Got New Xbow Scope
Had talked to Dan Miller a year or so back and was aware of a few Leupolds he had w/ custom xbow reticules installed. A week or so ago, while talking to him on another matter, I learned he still had a few, and that the company that installed the reticules was no longer doing it for one reason or another. So, decided that it was just meant tobe, lol, and am now the proud owner of a Leupold 2x7. Works the same as a V-zone, sight in at 20, then spin the power ring to get the lines on at the farther ranges. This is more suitable for target work than hunting, as the hairs are mighty fine. It has a very small diamond on 30 and 50, but none on 40 and 60 yd lines. I have it on my Emax now, but suspect it will end up on the Phoenix after season closes. To be "on" at 30, the power level is on 3x, however, I can turn it up to 7x and use the 40 yd hair at 30. I really like the fact that it adjusts 1/4" @ 100 yds vs the rather coarse 1/2" at 20 on the V-zones. One of our Canuck buddies got one also, lol. Dan has one left the last I knew, but it is 1x4x and if the reticules are the same as mine it might not suit you for hunting. I may use this one for hunting, as I don't hunt late in the day due to bad knees and the terrain locally. As most of you know, I've been a big fan of my 3 V-zones, but must admit these optics are really great.

RE: Got New Xbow Scope
My one friend from work that I do all my rifle shooting with is big into the Leupold's also. If you look through them to much it will spoil you if your not careful! I would love to put one on CB but the funds for that are not a high priority. If I could spend that kind dough on another scope I would try and get an Excal first and then the scope. To many wants, to many toys, not enough dough!

RE: Got New Xbow Scope
I am so jealous..
Danny has one more, 1X4, chevrons at 20, 30 40, 50 and 60.. I would be all over it if it were not for the fact the cross-hairs are so thin, great for target, but not so great for hunting.
One of the things that makes this scope stand out, besides the superb optics is the fact that the sprigs are heavier (or doubled) so that it will retain its settings better than an average scope.. (like my POS Vari-Zone)
I had the opportunity to speak to Dan today, it was quite enlightening.
