RE: Chrony help too..
There are no fluorescent lights in this room, 6 incans..
I just took it outside, the only time it would zero out is when I leaned it sideways and pointed the sensors at a 40' pine tree. I tried shooting through it and got no reading, set it upright, it stayed zeroed and shot through again.. No reading.
It may simply be defective.. It is old..

I think it is actually a state of the art model, they jut make it look this way so my friends don't get jealous..
I keep running my sons arrows through it, consistant 125FPS (indoors).. I will take it back outside..

Chony had a great replacement policy,
Chony had a great replacement policy,
I just noticed it is made in Canada.
I have it cleaned up nice, got rid of the cardboard "diffusers" polished it up.. Just need this rain to stop and I will take it for another ride. It zeros out quickly now outside, but the way I have my targets set up this thing would have to be exposed to the rain..
Thanks for the tip Dnk

I don't use my diffusers unless its a really sunny day. I've shot mine a few times but the one time it died from wounds I brought it back and I think I paid fourty bucks or so to have the nec parts replaced.

What are nec parts Don? In this unit there are what appears to be to sensors buried in a plastic box (X2), look like 3mm LED's. I see some units have steel bars that look like antennas, in a "V" shape.
Now that this is cleaned up it looks just like the ones on the website, minus the antennas. I can fabricate something like that if it is only there to give a visual of the intended path of my arrow.

those antenna looking things are simply the rods that the plastic diffusers snap on to.....some guys put them on cause it helps align your sights over the photo cells. hope that helps.
