Default Mounting a scope?

I'm having problems with finding a scope for my crossbow. I have a Barnett Wildcat C5 and it has a 0.22 cal 3/8" scope mounting system. All of the scopes that are sold around where I live come with 7/8" weaver style rings. Would it be a good idea to buy 0.22 style rings and use those to mount my scope?

PS I know I could get a 0.22 cal to weaver converter on the internet but that takes too long and this friday/saturday are two of the last crossbow days in a while.

~Thanks

Default RE: Mounting a scope?

Most .22's have the same dovetail, no problem w/ using those rings. Good luck on your hunt!
