Default DO YOU REMOVE YOUR QUIVER

my cousin asked if i would try to get answer..he hunts with crossbow..

when he used his compound bow he used to remove his quiver in the treestand ..he was wondering if you all take your quiver off and hang it on hook or do you leave quiver on your crossbow..

on my recurve i never left quiver on ,always hung it on tree..

also i think your bow is much more quiet with quiver off bow..

what do you all think??

O'le sproulman, my Hoyt is more quiet with my quiver on. I use a fuse quiver but I can't stand how it balances. Crossbow? Never! Don't feel right shooting with it on because it feels just right with out. I have a hip quiver for lurking around with the crossbow. If I'm in a stand I just take off the quiver.

The only time I keepit on is to walk to and from the stand. Other than that I hang it ona hook in the tree or on my hip for stalking...

At this time i have been using a cheap Eastman 4 arrow quiver i got fer $10 at wal-mart. I just tote it by hand until i get into stand then hang it up. Don't have no quiver bracket on CB, waste of good money.

I always take it off. I only do it so that it does not get in the way when shooting. I do not think it would affect your shots like some say it can on a recurve/long bowsince it is mounted to the stock and not the limbs.

i always remove it. i see no difference in point of impact with the quiver on or off....just feels better with the quiver off.[8D]

Quiver on. I use Groundpounders mount and it keeps everything very well balanced.

I took my crossbow quiver off and use a hip quiver. I've never regreted the decision.

I always take it off and hang it on a nail or hook.
