Default Doink

went out this morning at about 530 stopped at 1 of my spots and watched a buck "have his way" with a doe about 60yds away and thought id give them some privacy...lol. so i went down the street to another field that belongs to the same farm and went to sit in my fav permanent stand. well i walked back to it and it was broken..its just an old 2x6 in the crotch of a tree but it is a good spot. well i left there and went about 2miles down the road to another property i have permission to hunt and decided to just take a stroll back. i had read somewhere that if you call while walkin the deer r more apt to stay put and ignore you...thats not entirely true but.... as i walked back along the well road i was grunting about ever third or forth step and had about 5 does go blazin past me...now im almost to the end of the property and i let out a grunt and hear a grunt back from my left.. it was a spike buck about 40 yds away..so i kneel down and grunt back at him.. then i hear a grunt back from my right and look.... holy shnikies.. all i see is a bush with antlers. i started shakin anticipating which way hes gonna go. am i gonna get a shot.. how far is he... well he WAS 20 yds when he stepped out from behind a tree. Nailed him broadside in mid step..monotecG5 went through his left leg just behind the bone. and sunk about halfway into his chest. he only went about 25yds and piled up ontop of a hill. it was a great morning but im done with bucks for the season.
sorry dont have a digital cam for pics.
