Henry: You are right, all the current production Excal stocks are the same. I knew there were different lengths involved, but it's in the rails not the stocks. Learn something new everyday!

The stock on the Exocet 200 is 1" shorter than Exomax stock. Exocet is 38.5" and Exomax is 39.5" The Phoenix and Vixen have 37" stocks. So there it is folks the real deal on Excals stocks!

Smoke think you have the overall lengths listed there.. not the length of the stocks.. and the different overall lengts come from the different rail lenghts I believe, if I am correct on this and this is part or excals claim to fame so to say is that every model uses the same stock trigger and limbs, the only difference in the different bows is in the length of the rail, cept for the vixen which comes in the deerhide brown. think even it is the same stock it just isnt cammoed..

if I am wrong on this someone correct me..

So that means we can make our Bows any model we want just by getting the rail fer that model. Is this correct folks?

Yes that is true if you want to change your Phoenix to a Max all you have to do is get the rail for a max and vise versa... all parts on the Excals other than the rail are the same so will interchange..

LOL, Not so fast, Bucko's. There is also a difference in the angle of the limbs on the risers to contend w/. I don't know enough about that to tell ya'll what's what, go to Exccal forum for that info, but there is a difference.

Hope your right Dan! Cause if they are charging 150 bucks for a two inch chunk of aluminum then they just fell in the same boat as the rest of the makers!

Isn't it only the Vixen that doesn't have that forward angled rail setup?

No matter what the deal is w/ extra length rail for whatever price, I don't think they are in the same boat as the other mfgrs. Main reason is all Excals have the exact same GOOD trigger. They all have the same GOOD reputation for not needing warranty work. I personally don't care how they make their money, or how much they make in profit on every sale, as I have come to the conclusion that they don't do that at the end users [US] expense. I'm not sure what the differences in the models they offer are, just know you can't go wrong w/ anything they offer that you choose. You guys all know that the other major mfgrs have different triggers for their different price range bows. I, personally think that is wrong. When you can buy a Phoenix for $349 at bowhuntersuperstore, granted bare bow, I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say I'd like to see something that will better that in accuracy, dependability, general user friendlyness, ect. Horton has a "Talon" trigger available on some models, but not all, !0 pt offers a trigger upgrade for, I believe $30 plus two shippings, yet Excal offers the same trigger on all. I don't care how they make their profit, actually would rather see them do it in rail length/riser angle than put cheap triggers on the bows. Just my $.002 worth.
