Try re-cocking it real far back while someone else fiddles w/ the safety.
If that don't work, wait til in the a.m. and call Barnett. I can flat arse guarantee you if you dry-fire it stuff will fly everywhere. I had the same bow blow up on me, it's not any fun. Cabela's took mine back no questions asked. Read somewhere that someone got the same bow w/ sear put in backwards.

[&o][&o][&o] Not the answer.

Yote: doesn't that model have an auto-engaging safety?? It's obviously stuck on safe, right? Try spraying some lube like WD-40 in and around safety and trigger assembly, keep fooling w/ trigger and safety while holding back on the string. You may get the safety [root of problem] to move to off while fiddling w/ string and trigger. Once you get it uncocked, and you will, false cock it a few times w/ a piece of regular string like dry line or butcher cord to see if the safety is free and sliding correctly. You can use a crank type cocker as a temp bow press, but if you get tension on it via the string trying to fire, you will have to be very careful un winding it. All the mfgrs that have those crank cockers warn you to never do what you might be about to, lol.
