so sorry to hear of the loss of the loved ones of awshucks and squirrel. you will be in my thoughts and prayers. with the arrival of our favorite season we all will be spending hours in the woods....alone with our thoughts. early in the season we are hunters....by the end of the season we have become philosophers. in those quiet moments remember, our loved ones would not want our hearts saddened by loss....rather they would want our hearts warmed by fond memories.

Dan .. Good to have you back. Hope everything went as well as can be expected with something so painful. When my Dad died the gods sent a nice buck my way. I missed him, but what the heck. It's goofy, but I taped a picture of Dad to my bow for the two seasons following his death and might even put it back on this year.>>>>>Whack!

Thanks for all the sentiments, ya'll, it's what we have to do; bury the elders. He had a great life and enjoyed every day of it, 85 yrs old, how many of us will go that far?? Again, thank you one and all.
