Summit Vipper SS is so sweet
Having no experience with any other tree stand to compare it to I can only say this has to be as good as it gets. It is quite, strong and very comfortable.
I tied a saw to the rail and pulled it up to me when I got to a branch that needed removed. I was able to get 40 feet off the ground before the tree tapered too much causing the platform to angle down. I suppose you could re-adjust the cable at that point but wouldn’t recommend it.
40 feet is too high to hunt from with a cross bow IMO but with a rifle or slug gun it would be sweet. One of the property’s I plan to hunt has a tree that sits on the corner of the tree line and over looks a large field. I can’t wait to sit there and check out the view.
I posted this thread because like myself, some of you may be having a hell of a time deciding which climbing stand to buy. I’m completely happy with this one and glad I made the choice I did.
