Gotta let us know how they stack up against or with each other.I just hope you don't say I have to shelve the Pheonix and get a 10pt. Hate to shell out that kind of dough. Like a 2nd mortgage. >>>>>>>>>Whack!

I knew way back when I first looked at crossbows though I decided to go with the TenPoint as my first choice that in time I would also get an Excalibur.. I know that both of these are great crossbows the best on the market the only way you might get a better crossbow is to go custom and Im still not sure you would get a better bow. cant say for sure because I have not had or shot a custom rig.. I cannot picture a crossbow shooting any more accurate than my Proelite which will do robinhoods and has and I can shoot a group at 20 yards the size of a nickel, and the size of a silver dollar at 30 yards and thin the only reason for that is my eyesight.. but if the Excal Phoenix proves to shoot more accurately I will be honest and lets youns know..
I think I am turning into a Crossbow junkie....lol

Henry, you ARE a crossbow junkie, not that there's anything wrong with that!
You will have the best of both worlds. That is an awsome combo and thats what I want as well. A compound xbow for stalking and small blinds and a recurve for everything else.
Apparently custom bows are more accurate and consistant over longer ranges and they do look better. Target bows are used for competition because they are more accurate and consistant especially over longer ranges but for hunting you are right in the accuracy department.
I have target limbs on my Exocet and Vixen right now and I think its I shoot more consistant with those limbs.
Kodos on your decision Henry! Ataboy! After you get an Excal whats next? I want a target xbow next and I am waiting to see what Excal is replacing their discontinued competition bow with.
WOOOHOOO!

ok I got the Phoenix got it put togather sighted in and shot 15 arrows ,, its a nice crossbow,
I like the light weigt of it, I am even able to cock it using the rpe cocking aid wihout havingto shorten it, shots very well accurate,
now I said I would give an honest opinion its a great crossbow, I still like my TenPoint Proelite better, it seams to be a much sturdier crossbow quietier, shots smoother, less vibration and recoil, so far as accuracy they are right on par with each other,, could not say one is any more accurate than the other,, this just confirms that one person may prefer one crossbow and another person may prefer another to eack his own shot and enjoy..
and bear in mind this is just my thoughts and opinions,, I am no expert..
