Lemme guess, ya got stock 350 gr excal arrows w/ it? and your using the fff string? Guess what Henry, there's another bow in the box!! Completely different animal w/ excel [green and brown endless loop] and your pro elite 431 gr arrows. Stop in tomorrow w/ an eval on the other bow ya can't try yet. Not your fault, you're not used to having choices. LOL

Dan switched the string and used the havier arrows, that helped, I might need to get new dissapator pads when the guy took it down and shipped it he left them on the bow the video says to take them off when unstrung for a long peroid of time so they may be too compressed..

Your pads will be fine, if only time unstrung involved is the shipping time. You don't even need them, just quieter. The thing to check is the bars that hold them. If the bow was ever dry-fired, they could be bent. They can be straightened if so. I've found w/ both of mine that changing from fff to excel is 4 clicks up at 20. [2"]. Excal did get some bad pads along the line sometime ago, they cracked like dry rotted rubber. that's a fault in matl, not due to leaving unstrung. How you getting along w/ manual safety?

how would you know if it had ever been dryfired and how would you know if the disapator bars are bent ?? the limbs do not show an signs of it..

Henry: No way to tell 100 % but... if ya cock it, ya can put a straight edge on the diss bars one at a time, look for a belly in middle under straight edge. You also check limbs for splinters or cracks. I seriously doubt anyone would sell you a defective bow[splinters or cracks] and bent bars are not critical and very hard to detect by just eyeballing them. Fwiw: in the event of a dryfire, your limbs are less likely to be damaged w/ excel string than w/ fff. If the diss bars are bent a tad, just unstring bow, take them off and beat em flat! Ain't it great being your own pro shop? LOL
