RE: Un-shoot
My Phoenix is a breeze to un-cock, just grab the string w/ BOTH hands and use yer thumb to trip the trigger. The Emax is another story! lol but can be done using rope cocker pulled all the way to your strong side. You can prolly get by an anti dry-fire device by putting a pencil in place of arrow. On the bows having a forearm safety, guess you're better off shooting them or finding away to hold that button in too.

RE: Un-shoot
I only leave mine cocked till the end of the hunt.I shoot it and recock when I get back to the woods.
if you can't carry a field point, then use an old broadhead,or you can grind down a field point so you just have the threads into the insert to keep the dirt out.no big deal there. there are several things you can do.
I would not even try to hold the string on my Quad 400 , I love my hands and fingers to much.[] []
