Default figured it out

I think i got it now- why the nyb hunters and other archery groupsdo not want xbow hunters and others in the woods in there so called archery season. If we hunted at the same time, we would see all there mistakes. wounded deer, deer they have'nt found. We all have heard the stories after the seasons over, i hit a couple this year but i could not find them,or bad hit to far back etc. Rich K

How nice of you to over state the 'mistakes' bowhunters make and give the anti's a premium little quote to put up on their websites. "Here is what other hunters say about bowhunters." Maybe you'll recieve a brand new PETA t-shirt in the mail for being such a fine promoter of their cause.

There are plenty of factual, easily confirmed reasons to show there is no reason for crossbows to be excluded from bow seasons. No need to resort to malicious slander.

Slander would indicate an untrue statement. So I would think this called inappropriate rather than slanderous. Either way let us not cast stones in this glass house. Yes its not like me to stiffle myself but maybe I'm growing up. LOL

Arthur P. yes i goofed up, i do not want to give anti's a edge, but stoping xbows from be declared legal is wrong to. I,m not a young kid any more and i still like to archery hunt but i can't use my bow any more after 45+ yrs. with it. Its time for others to realize that we get old, our bodys fall apart, and you can't do what you did as a kid. Its time for gov. and others that the laws we have on the books pertaining to xbows is WRONG. Rich K.

Dnj, it's a lot more of an 'untruth' than it is fact. Slander is a fitting term for it.

I get steamed any time someone starts making sweeping, all inclusive statements like that, badmouthing ANY hunting method. SOME bowhunters are total slobs and do fit your description but it is equally applicable for SOME crossbow hunters, and SOME gun hunters for that matter. There are jerks, a-holes and clods in any group.

Seems like over the past 20 years or so, I'm running into a lot more slobs in the woods than I ever did before. Must be breeding like rabbits. But no hunting method has it any worse than any other.

How would you like being labeled a woundamatic slob just because somebody has found several dead or wounded deer in the woods with crossbow bolts in them, and you just happen to shoot a crossbow? I bet it's happened already and I'd bet even more that you didn't like it at all.

You can't possibly think talking trash like this and getting those people who oppose you P.O.'d is going to get crossbows accepted any faster, do ya? If anything, it's going to make for a lot stiffer resistance and delay the process.

Gotta be smarter than that, guys...

I think that when a worm and a jack-ass crossbread we get slobs and snobs from the breading. And they start off naked and later get camo growing off their skin.
We will never know the truth of the matter because the species in question will never tell the truth and aren't proud of anything they do other than the lies they tell.
Just one man's opinion.

As in any democratic country it is your duty to change some thing you want changed. This means that if you want it changed then get in there and have it changed. Lobby or become a politician (ewwwwwwwwwww). Of course you could do like me and just whine and complain. LOL

Then you gotta keep in mind that we've got a society where a large portion of the population is way more concerned with their rights than in living up to the responsibilities that go with those rights.

You've got the right to hunt and, if you decide you are going to exercise that right, then you've got the responsibility to learn how to shoot straight to make a quick, clean kill, and to do everything humanly possible to find a wounded animal so you can finish what you started.

HUNTERS know this instinctively, just common sense. Slobs? They're uncaring twits who don't have an ethical bone in their body, but they always know their rights.

Too bad we don't have an open season on slobs. The herd really needs some serious thinning out.
