Keeping Grinders Rust Free?
Hey folks, after washing your grinders what do you use to keep the metal parts of your grinder rust free? I've heard of a veggie based silicone spray, but wasn't sure where to get it. Is there another trick anyone uses to prevent the rust?
Thanks for your help in advance.

AHHH no. If its not synthetic it will gum up and go rancid. I use Haynes Silicone Spray made especially for use in sanitary conditions. Heres a link where to purchase it.

for threaded rods use lubriplate.

RE: Keeping Grinders Rust Free?
Jersey,
I think I'm just going to PM you from now on. Once again, thanks for the help. The entire kit looks like a no brainer to have when using a grinder etc... it has all the good stuff to clean all the parts.
On a side note, (might have asked this already) where are you from in NJ? I grew up on LBI and Tuckerton area before joining the military.
thanks again for your help,
Scott
