RE: Deer scent Cover scent.
Well welcome to the site. My suggestion is easy cuz im in the same situation. What I do is make sure everything is scent free. (wash in scent free detergent)and make sure none of your clothes ever see any thing but the woods. I store my clothes in a plastic bag. I even wash bow and stand. I use the earth scent wafers and a scent elimination spray by hunter specialties. I play the wind and hunt high, seems to work for me. hope this helps ya. good luck

I do the same as smokyghost. But as Iam entering the woods I always pick up a handful of dirt and leaves, weeds, etc. and rub these all over my clothes and hands. My clothes also sit in a plastic bag with leaves and dirt in it. And I always wash them in baking soda and hang them up to dry in the trees in my backyard, but making sure there is no smoke or foreign smell nearby. Also I use Essense of Fall cover up scent.

Very good advice people. I also take every prcaution where scent is involved. I have similiar routines for hunt prep. The cover scent that I use is "Essence of Fall" put out by the Nature's Essense company. The product is not always easy to find but can be purchased on line. http://www.essenceoffall.com
I find that this stuff smells the most like the woods in October/Nov.
It is not as earthy as some of the more pungent covers out there.
Good luck...and go get um!!

I think that the carbon blast spray works great. I used this last year and saw more deer than ever. I also hunt in an area with alot of hemlock trees so I like to rub hemlock branches on my clothes before a hunt as well as keep hemlock branches in the bag with my hunting clothes.
