newbie on bow hunting need help ( HOYT )
i know i went over this last year but i backed out at the last moment . ( stupid of me i could of been hunting now )
well anyway...
i trying to find my notes on the stuff i was gonna get for the bow i want.
i just need help on the limbs and all the extra's.
i am looking at the hoyt havoc.
i think the limbs i wanted to get are the 2200 limbs.
also about the cams. versa or the excel.
i would appreciate it very much since i don't know the differance between any part of a bow.

The XT2000 Limbs are a great choice and the versacam would be my choice for a solocam. The versacam is the ultimate in adjustability without a bow press. Are you looking to buy imediately? If you wait until Hoyt comes out with their 2003 product , you might find something even more appealing , or you could probably get a better deal on the one your interested in now.

Exactly what Bowfanatic said.
If your looking specifically at the Havoc, then I recommend the XT2000 limbs with the VersaCam.

well i do like the hoyt bows. i won't buy one till this late winter. ( january february ) unless you all think there is a better time to buy them when they are cheaper? ( kinda like guns after the season is over )?
is there reaaly a big advantage/disavantage of getting a short bow like the havoc vs. the vortec
since i have been lookig into this i would like to get one that will last me a lifetime. moeny is not really a option. but i don't wan to go nuts as well.
when buying bows does it come wtih any options or is it come blank and you have to add everything?
also what about theses small counter weights?

Quilly,
As the other stated, I think you are looking for info on the Havoctec, not the Havoc. The Havoc is no longer in Hoyt's production line and was replaced by the Havoctec...a 2 inch shorter, TEC riser version of the same bow.
The XT2000 limbs with the Versacam would be my choice as well. The versatility of the Versa cam coupled with the durability of the XT2000 limbs makes it almost ideal.
But as BF stated, you may want to wait for the 2003 lineup to debut at the end of next month.
As for the best time (read least expensive) to buy bows....usually in November/December as shops are trying to get rid of their 2002 stock to make room for the 2003s.
