Default Look! My first dip and fletch

I just did these arrows this week. I have fletched a few, but not very many, and these are the first ones I have dipped. I think they look great, and will be doing more in the future. Building your own arrows is awesome!

Hey, very nice!!!

The problem is once a guy starts dipping you never want to go back to just a "plain" old arrow again. Even arrow wraps though they are a close second, don't hold the same allure.

They look pretty sweet !

How much did each one cost ? I started to try fletching last year , but I got sidetracked buying a house .

Hey! Don't lose faith in me yet, I can still prove you right! The really cool part, is they DO fly good. I have had trouble with fixed blade heads in the past, but these worked great. I went to a 5 inch feather, and I think that helped a lot. I stuck a 2 inch dot on my deer target, and whacked it from 25 yards. That was the best part.

I used the Bohning dip tube and white lacquer. Nothing special. Problem is, now I want to start cresting and not just dipping. Oh man, it's always something, ain't it?

The initial cost is a little steep, but I think I did each one for about 6 bucks. These are just inexpensive Hawks tho.

Hey Mo, they look absolutely awesome!!!

I started doing the same thing a few years ago, dipping and fletching with barred feathers. You'll never go back, even to arrow wraps as Antler Eater pointed out.

Now, you'll have to make you a cresting machine and start doing that too. There's several good web pages on how to do it out there, and I can post pics of mine I made after finding them if you want me to... It's cheap, fun and easy.

Congrads again.
